Carousel Digital Signage Elevates Corporate AV Strategy with Mersive Integration

September 24, 2019

Carousel will introduce support for Mersive Solstice at InfoComm to power digital signage content in meeting spaces

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, May 13, 2019 – Carousel Digital Signage has added media player support for Mersive Solstice, allowingusers to simplify the management of digital signage content in meeting spaces and other corporate AV environments. To be introduced at InfoComm 2019, this new integration brings the award-winning Carousel CMS to the Mersive platform, and amplifies the presence of digital signage within collaborative environments.

Carousel provides Solstice users a reliable toolset to output HTML-based signage content to Solstice-enabled displays in huddle rooms, conference rooms, lecture halls and even larger, divisible meeting spaces. Solstice users can efficiently manage displays and end points by leveraging screen-sharing capabilities to seamlessly switch between Carousel signage and other visual materials. This allows presenters to quickly incorporate company values, business wins, customer testimonials, and mission statements into important presentations.

The solution also enables huddle rooms and other meeting spaces to present compelling visual communications when displays are not inuse. This eliminates the “black rectangle” problem of idle displays, and creates a consistent user experience throughout the enterprise.

Carousel for Mersive Solstice bears similarities to Carousel Digital Signage’s highly successful K-12 application for Apple TV, which integrates their back-end CMS and front-end user app to control educational signage content in classrooms.

“While many collaboration applications offer built-in digital signage software, the features and capabilities are very basic,” said JJ Parker, CEO, Carousel Digital Signage. “Using a full-featured CMS like Carousel helps organizations more effectively and efficiently communicate with their audience. Solstice is an ideal platform to bring digital signage into places where people are best able to absorb the content.”

The back-end CMS is driven through Carousel Cloud, which the company will demonstrate at InfoComm following its official unveiling at the Digital Signage Expo in March. Carousel Cloud is the digital signage pioneer’s new subscription-based SaaS platform for organizationsseeking hosted digital signage service with limitless scalability. At InfoComm, Carousel Digital Signage will demonstrate Carousel Cloud’s expanded media player support across Mersive, BrightSign and Apple iPads – all of which are new for the show.

InfoComm takes place June 12-14 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Carousel Digital Signage exhibits at Booth 333.

Atlona Appoints CET & Associates as Residential AV Manufacturer’s Representative for Rocky Mountains Territory

September 24, 2019

Focus on strong relationships with custom installers, design engineers and others working in the trenches ensures that itsvendors are selected early in the design process

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 9, 2019 – Atlona expands its impressive partner network in the residential AV market with the designation of Denver-based CET & Associates as its manufacturer’s representative for the expansive Rocky Mountains sales territory. Effective immediately, CET & Associates will represent Atlona’s best-in-class products and solutions for residential and light commercial projects, including its OmniStream™ R-Type AV over IP platform, and Opus™ Series of matrix switchers and receivers.

CET & Associates is a large company with divisions that serve the residential, commercial, and industrial construction markets. For Atlona, CET & Associates will provide a dedicated team of sales and marketing resources focused on winning high-end, luxury residential AV projects across Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.

CET & Associates distinguishes itself from competitive firms through a team of sales engineers that bring valuable previous experience as dealers, installers, and other roles requiring hands-on, field-based expertise. Since they’re not commissioned salespeople, they are committed to providing exceptional customer service, expertise and training, rather than simplymoving boxes.

“Our goal at CET & Associates is to engage key influencers—such as custom installers, design engineers, architects, interior designers, and even homeowners—early in the design process to show how certain products meet or exceed the unique specifications and requirements of their projects,” said Doug Cuneo, Principal, CET & Associates. “This ensures that key decisionmakers have plenty of time to continue to explore our broader vendor portfolio, and build truly innovative systems that meet their needs for many years to come.”

CET seeks to build strong, trusted relationships with its customers by offering extensive advice, training, and seminars that position their team as knowledgeable partners dedicated to meeting shared objectives. And, in keeping with their company’s “You Before Us” slogan, CET sales reps recommend products—such as Atlona’s—that are ideally-suited to delivering the features and capabilities specified by a particular installation.

“We’re pleased to represent Atlona because the company makes exceptional-quality AV/IT distribution products and then stands behind them, and that’s important to us,” Cuneo said. “Atlona’s solutions are a great complement to residential and light commercial installations that call for user-selectable audio/video signal routing to multiple displays, automated lighting and shades control, and an environment that’s free of unsightly cords, black boxes, and remotes.”

“We continue to build out our domestic residential AV partner network with highly qualified and respected firms that demonstrate broad skillsets and proven track records. CET & Associates very clearly falls under this umbrella,” said Joshua Trujillo, Regional Sales Manager – West, Atlona. “Their expertise in working closely with those in the trenches will undoubtedly raise awareness of Atlona’s innovate solutions across AV over IP, 4K/HDR switching and distribution, and whole-home AV for residential and light commercial projects.”

CP Communications Appoints James Monroe as Director of Sales

September 24, 2019

Former on-air meteorologist and atmospheric scientist turned business development specialist to focus on expanding visibility and market share for CP’s Red House Streaming solutions

Tampa, Florida, May 8, 2019CP Communications, a leader in innovative solutions and services for live event productions, has appointed former atmospheric scientist and TV meteorologist James Monroe to its newly created Director of Sales, North America position.

Based in the Chicago area, Monroe will report to Ken Dillard, Vice President of Sales, North America, and focus on sales and business development for CP Communications’ broadcast news, sports, live event and sports production, and distribution solutions utilizing cellular acquisition tools from Mobile Viewpoint. Monroe’s responsibilities include an emphasis on expanding visibility and market share for the company’s Red House Streaming and Mobile Viewpoint portfolios of content acquisition solutions, which offers a range of IP, cloud and bonded cellular technologies and services.

Monroe brings a rare blend of technical expertise and communications skills to his new role. He spent nearly three decades in the weather industry, including seven as an on-air meteorologist at TV stations in Salt Lake City (KSTU-TV) and Rochester, New York (WROC-TV). He has also served as Special Projects Weather Forecaster for the United States Air Force, supervising the delivery of weather forecasts, warnings and advisories to the U.S. Military and NATO forces, along with supporting NASA missions and various civilian agencies.

Over the past 15 years, Monroe has transitioned into the broadcast supplier space, taking on sales and engineering roles of increasing responsibility. Following positions at WSI Corporation and The Weather Company (an IBM Business) that merged his meteorology experience with customer-facing sales and account management duties, Monroe held successful, senior-level sales roles at Vizrt and TVU Networks.

Monroe’s diverse experiences have equipped him with a strong knowledge of modern broadcast and production workflows, and an insightful awareness of the role that customer intimacy plays in the sales journey.

“My many years of television experience both behind the scenes and on the supplier side has taught me the value that this industry places on relationships,” he said. “CP Communications understands the importance of a consultative sales approach, and how treating customer relations as partnerships will ultimately drive revenue. The fact that CP Communications is on the leading edge of IP and cloud-based delivery only strengthens my opportunity for success. Through our representation of Mobile Viewpoint networking products and our homegrown STREAM family of content acquisition systems, we can offer solutions that are ideally engineered to fit the standards and workflows of today’s broadcast and production environments.”

Monroe adds that he sees an opportunity to expand CP Communications’ presence into new markets where IP and bonded cellular technologies can provide critical connectivity and communications services, including public safety and law enforcement.

“James brings a very unique industry perspective along with a customer-centric work ethic and long-standing industry relationships to CP Communications that will bring our innovative solutions and services to a much larger audience,” said Dillard. “We are proud to welcome him to the growing CP Communications team.”
